For Susannah Boisclair, Director, Funding & Servicing, Development Finance Group, one of the best parts of her role is that every day is a new adventure. From her start with MCAP in 2011, she’s had the opportunity to take on different roles such as a Funding Officer and Manager of Funding before being promoted to her current position in 2024. The DFG team is responsible for loan management and servicing. As a Director, Susannah oversees funding operations, organizes branch resources and processes, as well as leads and develops the loan servicing team. No matter the situation, she always tries to “put the ‘fun’ in funding” and keep things interesting!

Making Use of the Resources and Opportunities All-Around
Career advancement doesn’t have to be a daunting task. Sometimes a simple approach can make all the difference. As Susannah shares from her personal experience, “MCAP has a great resource of talented and seasoned professionals. By talking to one another, we can learn from each other and share industry expertise.” She also noted that reaching out to other departments within MCAP has been an effective way to learn about the different lines of business. The more you know about the different business lines, the better able you are to apply those learnings to your own role and find solutions that support the business overall.

Developing Professionally and Personally
Susannah strives to maintain a healthy work-life balance, and with the help of different programs provided through MCAP like MCAP’s Fit Together workout classes and leadership sessions. As Susannah describes, “working with different groups of individuals provides invaluable information from different perspectives.”

One thing that Susannah loves about her role at MCAP, is the team of people she gets to work with. “MCAP people are amazing individuals,” Susannah explains. The MCAP environment is one that fosters collaboration, openness, and teamwork. From Susannah’s perspective, “teamwork is critical.”
