Neischa Bazzey has been leading the Business Technology Group at MCAP for the last four years, rounding out over a decade at the organization. In her current position, she manages a diverse and strategic portfolio of responsibilities. She leads the Investor Servicing, Quality Control, and Audit teams within the Commercial Mortgages team, and oversees the operations of the Business Technology Group for both the Commercial Mortgages and Development Finance units. Her teams are engaged in a wide range of activities, including data analysis, process enhancement, investor reporting, compliance oversight, and the implementation of technological solutions. Furthermore, she plays an integral role in the Commercial Mortgages Leadership Team, where she contributes to achieving strategic and financial objectives, driving business growth, and ensuring seamless departmental operations across various functions.
Embracing Opportunity with the Support of MCAP
Neischa’s journey at MCAP has been fulfilling and memorable. Initially joining as a Senior Business Analyst within the IT Single Family team, she gained valuable insights into residential mortgages. While pursuing her MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University part-time, she was promoted to the role of Project Manager/Agile Team Lead within the IT department. There, she cultivated a culture of empowerment within her team and effectively guided them to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Upon completing her MBA, Neischa felt prepared for a new challenge. When she came across the posting for the Associate Director, Business Technology, Commercial Mortgages on MCAP's internal job board, she saw it as an exciting opportunity. “I recognized it as a chance to deepen my knowledge of commercial mortgages, expand my expertise, grow professionally, and collaborate directly with various business teams,” she says.
In 2024, she embraced the opportunity to take on an expanded role. Alongside leading the Business Technology team, she also assumed responsibility for overseeing the Investor Operations, Quality Control, and Audit teams. This expanded role allowed her to further diversify her skill set and contribute to the success of MCAP across multiple functional areas.
Throughout her journey at MCAP, Neischa has actively utilized various resources to advance her career. “I have dedicated myself to investing in my professional growth by pursuing external training, certifications, and participating in internal development programs like workshops and online courses. Additionally, I regularly monitor internal job postings that could provide opportunities for career advancement through diversifying my skills and gaining fresh perspectives in different roles and departments.”
