MCAP and Habitat for Humanity have a shared mission – to help Canadians realize their goals of homeownership. As a proud supporter of Habitat for Humanity Canada for over 20 years, MCAP stands with this national, non-profit organization that is continually working towards a world where everyone has access to safe and affordable housing.
For over 20 years, MCAP contributions to Habitat for Humanity have helped create positive and long-lasting change in the lives of Canadian families from coast to coast. Our donations come from our employees, broker partners, homeowners and are matched with corporate support to maximize the donation impact. This past month, we want to recognize our homeowners stepping up big-time, making a significant and exciting impact.
MCAP homeowners surpassed our donation goal!
Throughout the month of September, MCAP homeowners had the opportunity to support Habitat for Humanity through MCAP’s Key to Hope program through one-time donations. MCAP set a goal to raise $15,000 from homeowners, and committed to match donations up to the target.
We are thrilled to reveal that homeowners exceeded this goal and raised $21,065 for Habitat for Humanity! MCAP will be matching all homeowner donations and therefore, together we raised $42,130 for programs that help families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership.
The money raised will support the following programs:
- The Family Impact Fund – funding that supports Habitat’s homebuilding efforts across the country at our 50 local Habitats.
- The Indigenous Housing Partnership – an equitable partnership rooted in respect for Indigenous culture, helping deliver housing solutions by Indigenous communities for Indigenous communities.
- Every Youth Initiative – a program that helps the next generation build important trade and life skills while helping local Habitats build homes for families in need of safe and decent housing.
