Solicitor FAQsE-Registration
The province of Ontario provides a remote electronic registration system for land title documents. Documents will be created in an electronic environment, with limited exceptions.
The e-reg system is a gateway to the POLARIS® database and offers access to:
- Parcel registers/Abstract index from the POLARIS database
- POLARIS maps
- Copies of documents registered on title
- Copies of plans

Funds for Payout of Mortgage
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Payouts Process
An Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is an exciting new way that we can accept funds for payout of mortgages.
This new process will eventually reduce paper cheques, and we believe this change will support improved efficiencies and a better experience for both Solicitors and Homeowners.
Below is the banking information for your convenience.
It is mandatory that immediately following the EFT submission, an email is directed to: payoutfunds@MCAP.com
The email must contain the following homeowner details:
- Name
- Full address
- Mortgage number
- Copy of wire confirmation
- Full amount of payout funds
- Attached file of supporting documentation or Letter of Direction
